Okay, it’s been a LONG time since I’ve posted.  But, I want to try to make this blog-o-joy a thing.  So, here I go…take 2.
For those of you who are new to my blog (hi everyone but my mom!), this is my attempt to focus on the moments in life that bring me joy.  Sometimes, the moments are easy to spot.  Other times…not so much.

So what brought me back to my old blog?  Something that has brought me great joy as long as I can remember: Trivial Pursuit.  This weekend, I was able to talk my honey-lamb into a game…and that game turned into three.  Board games and card games are a favorite past time of mine, so I was in heaven!  

One of my favorite moments from my hat trick of TP came the first time Jason threw the card after my correct answer, exclaiming “I want you tested for steroids!”

The other (& my very favorite) moment came when Jason had to ask me what musical includes a parade highlighted by a surrey with fringe on the top.  Now, a reasonable person would simply state the answer.  I, on the other hand, am not reasonable.  Being a musical loving Okie, I opted to belt out the ENTIRE song.  Oklahoma!  And I gave an encore.  😂

Now, I feel obliged to thank my dad for the seemingly thousands of games we played during my childhood.  He beat me every time, but I learned to think, to reason, to link teeny hints with what I do know in order to make good guesses.  It’s come in handy far beyond the game board.  Thanks Dad! 😘

Admit it.  You get a little excited when you walk into a public restroom that looks & smells like it was just cleaned.  But then, you open the stall door to see that the seat is up.  Eureka!  No tushie has touched the seat!  You don’t have to squat!!!  It’s a simple, but total moment of joy.
